Service Season & Scheduling Approach

Because Heritage Greens is a resident-only service and scheduling is planned around seasonal commitments, services are provided based on mutual understanding and good faith.

Bi-weekly lawn care plans are structured as seasonal services, running from March through November. Rates are calculated by spreading the cost of consistent care, equipment use, fuel, and seasonal treatments across the entire growing season. This approach allows pricing to remain fair and competitive while supporting consistent service and reliable scheduling throughout the year. For that reason, bi-weekly plans are designed for full-season participation rather than partial or short-term service.

The Fertilizer & Lawn Health Program follows the same seasonal structure, with the first application in March and the final application in mid-November. Billing occurs per application, beginning with the first service in March and continuing every six weeks throughout the season, including the final application in mid-November.

Because scheduling and pricing are based on these seasonal commitments, discontinuing a bi-weekly or seasonal service without a hardship or reasonable explanation may affect future service availability.

  • Pre-emergent helps prevent weeds before they sprout. It does not kill existing weeds, but it significantly reduces future weed growth when applied at the right times of year. Applications are made in the fall before the lawn goes dormant and in early spring as the lawn begins to wake up, helping stop weeds before they have a chance to take hold.

  • Liquid aeration helps loosen compacted soil so water, air, and nutrients can reach the roots more easily. In our newer construction community, soil is often compacted red clay from building equipment, which makes it harder for grass to absorb what it needs. Liquid aeration improves drainage, reduces compaction, and supports deeper, healthier root growth over time.

  • Our lawn care season typically runs from March through the end of November. Mowing and treatments begin as the grass comes out of dormancy in early spring and continue through the growing season until the lawn slows down and goes dormant in late fall.

  • Fertilizer provides essential nutrients that grass needs to grow thick, healthy, and green. Mowing alone only maintains appearance, but fertilizer supports root development, recovery from heat and foot traffic, and overall lawn strength. Without proper nutrients, lawns can thin out, struggle during stress, and become more prone to weeds.

  • Yes. Even with proper mowing and treatments, lawns still need water to stay healthy. Temperatures here can get hot, and without enough moisture, grass becomes stressed, slows growth, and thins out. Most lawns need about 1–1.5 inches of water per week, either from rainfall or irrigation.

Watering is also important after fertilizer applications. Moisture helps move nutrients into the soil so they can be absorbed by the roots, allowing treatments to work as intended.

  • Bi-weekly mowing keeps grass at a consistent height, which is healthier for the lawn and easier on mowing equipment. Bermuda sod thrives when kept shorter, and regular cuts encourage thicker growth and better color. Allowing grass to grow too tall between cuts can stress the lawn, leave clippings behind, and result in uneven cuts.

Consistent mowing also helps reduce weed growth, keeps edging cleaner, and maintains a more polished look throughout the season. Because I personally maintain each lawn, the condition of your yard reflects the quality of my work, and consistent care helps ensure it always looks its best.

  • Our area regularly experiences high heat and extended dry spells, which can stress lawns quickly when rainfall isn’t sufficient. The watering service helps ensure your lawn receives consistent moisture during these periods so it can stay healthy and responsive to treatments.

A rain gauge is placed on your property to track natural rainfall. Most lawns need about 1–1.5 inches of water per week, and the gauge allows me to determine how much supplemental watering is needed. Watering duration is adjusted weekly based on actual rainfall and weather conditions.

All watering equipment is provided and removed by me at each visit. Watering is completed during the early morning hours, before the sun is fully up, to reduce evaporation and avoid stressing the lawn during peak heat.

This service also ensures that any fertilizer or soil treatments I apply are properly watered in, allowing nutrients to move into the soil and work as intended.

  • Yes. Heritage Greens is a resident-owned, resident-only lawn care service. Focusing exclusively on our community allows me to provide consistent, detail-oriented care on every property. Each lawn is maintained with precision, including clean edging around driveways, sidewalks, and hard surfaces, so every yard looks sharp and well-kept. This approach supports reliable scheduling and a level of consistency that’s difficult to achieve when servicing a wider area.

  • Yes. I’m a resident of the community here at The Farm at Wells Creek, and I personally maintain the lawns I service. Because I live here, I see the neighborhood every day and take pride in keeping it looking its best. I’m also active in our community Facebook groups and manage a local community page, which helps me stay connected, responsive, and accountable to the neighbors I serve.
